Overview

SUMMARY: To welcome guests and provide superior service. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests following rotation procedures
  • Ask the guest for feedback on their meal and invite them back as they depart
  • Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents
  • Complete daily register transactions and make vault deposits
  • Answer questions, and offer event and promotional information
  • Assist with cleaning floors, arranging tables and filling water glasses and coffee cups
  • Keep management updated on business flow
  • Stock cashier supplies and complete daily and weekly cleaning duties

Qualifications

Required:

  • 6 months restaurant experience
  • Previous cash handling experience

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Previous guest service experience Knowledge of point-of-sales software

Skills Required:

  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Above average math skills

Abilities Required:

  • Ability to work fast and efficiently
  • Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
  • Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional manner
